THE ENBLOC STORY

Enbloc means all together, as a unit, as a whole. Everything about how we build starts there.

Enbloc is a women-owned, Charlotte commercial general contractor built on a simple belief: construction works best when the whole team moves together. The name says it. Enbloc means all together, as a unit, as a whole. That is not a tagline for us, it is how we run a job. When everyone in the room is taken care of, the client, the architect, the trade partner, the tenant down the hall, the inspector, the project succeeds.

We build across healthcare, commercial, retail, historic and adaptive reuse, and community work. A lot of it happens in occupied spaces, next to patients, staff, residents, and customers who still have a full day ahead of them. So we plan around people, communicate early, and solve problems before they become someone else’s problem. We came up inside large general contractors, learned how the best projects get built, and saw what gets in the way. The answer was almost always the same: too many layers between the people doing the work and the people who need it done. We built Enbloc to take those layers out.

Charlotte is home, and it is where we focus. We know the market, the inspectors, the architects, and the trade partners. We know who shows up and who doesn’t, and that kind of familiarity can’t be manufactured. It comes from being here and doing the work. We are a small team by choice, which means the person you meet on day one is the person you will see on the job site, decisions get made fast, and no one is too far from the work to care about it. Tell us what you need done, and we’ll make it happen.

Our Values

Honesty

We say what’s true, even when it’s not what you want to hear.

Integrity

We do what we said we’d do. Every time, on every project.

Purposeful

We don’t take on work we can’t do well, and we don’t show up without a plan.

Respectful of Others

Every person on a job site matters. We treat them that way.

Supportive — Lift Others Up

Our team grows because we invest in each other, not just the project.

Family First

Not a slogan. It’s how we schedule, communicate, and show up.

Caring

We pay attention to the details others walk past. That’s not extra. That’s the job.
